da imperador bet: Wolves’ on-loan central defender Jesus Vallejo has described how his temporary move to the west Midlands came about in a recent interview in Spain.
What’s he said?
Nuno Santo made measures to improve squad depth over the summer as the club faced added European exploits after finishing seventh in the Premier League.
In doing so, the Portuguese boss managed to clinch a player from a global giant in Real Madrid.

Vallejo made the switch from Spain to England on a season-long loan but is still yet to really get going.
The European U21 Championship-winning captain has made just five appearances so far this campaign, only one of which is a start in the Premier League, per Transfermarkt.
Speaking to Diario AS, Vallejo said:
“Since the first day I have been treated phenomenally. I am very comfortable with the team, the coach and the way we play.
“It was a bit of everything. I wanted to live this experience.
“I talked to Jonny and Adama [Traore], and Real Madrid strongly recommended me to come here. He told me that he would continue to help me progress and I wanted to go hand in hand with the club.
“And of course, Wolves’ desire to want me influenced [the decision]. Nuno called me and told me about the project. It was the club that wanted me the most.”
Spanish influence
Even though the Spaniard has hardly featured in the league so far this campaign, if he is called upon, he should be able to settle right in, especially after these recent comments.
The 22-year-old appears to be more than happy with how he’s been treated at Molineux and it will have certainly helped to have a couple of fellow countrymen and Spanish-speaking players around.
It’s something that is bound to help on the pitch too, especially if Jonny and Adama Traore end up as the wing-backs playing next to him.
Are Gareth Southgate’s Aston Villa roots the reason behind the Wolves player in the video below being overlooked?…
Willy Boly has been linked with a move away from the club during the international break, so if he were to actually depart the club in January, Vallejo’s role could increase substantially out of nowhere.
You can’t also predict when injuries will have an impact either.
Some may be worried by the fact he’s hardly featured, but his smooth transition to life in England will have helped his cause.
