da fezbet: Rangers are considering a late move for Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer, according to The Scottish Sun.
What’s the word?
da winzada777: The Gers have until Friday to finalise any transfer business, and it seems that an injury to Jamie Murphy has thrown a curveball in Steven Gerrard’s plans.
The Rangers manager has already brought in 12 new signings, but it seems that another could come through the door.
According to The Scottish Sun, Dyer is on their radar and it is believed that Swansea are open to offloading the winger on loan.
The 30-year-old has not played a single minute of action for the Welsh outfit this season.
Should Gerrard be wary?
Bringing in a player to act as cover means that the target does not have to be a world beater.
However, there is a risk signing Dyer due to the fact that he has not played this season.
In the 2017-18 campaign, the winger started just 16 Premier League fixtures and came off the bench in a further eight.
Dyer may need time to get to grips with the ferociousness of the Scottish Premiership, but Gerrard needs someone who is ready now.
The former Southampton man, who has scored 34 goals in 311 Swansea outings, could turn out to be an asset but he may need a game or two to find his feet.
