da bet sport: After Manchester United announced that goalkeeper Sergio Romero had signed a new contract on Sunday, attention soon turned to the future of David de Gea.
da pinup bet: The Spaniard has transformed into one of the world’s best goalkeepers across his six-year spell at Old Trafford.
De Gea has firmly established himself as the club’s number one, but rumours of a big-money move to Real Madrid are never far away.
The 26-year-old was expected to join the Champions League winners in the summer of 2015, but the paperwork was not finalised in time, resulting in the deal collapsing.
Rather than sulk about the move falling through, De Gea signed a new deal at United, which ties him to the club until 2019.
Since then, Madrid have constantly been linked to the shot-stopper, and The Telegraph recently reported that United are expecting a bid from the Spanish giants before the transfer window closes next month.
Romero is De Gea’s understudy at Old Trafford, but manager Jose Mourinho seemed to favour the Argentine towards the end of last season, even starting him in the Europa League final.
Now that Romero has penned fresh terms at United, it leaves the fans wondering where the future lies for De Gea.
