da 888casino: Liverpool’s transfer window has well and truly kicked off… before it’s actually opened! The Reds added Danny Ings to James Milner yesterday in their additions column, with the pair set to complete Bosman switches from Manchester City and Burnley respectively.
da mrbet: Although the former is widely seen as a top class addition, the latter’s imminent move to Anfield is dividing option. The 22-year-old notched 40% of the Clarets’ 28 Premier League goals last term (11), but with Sean Dyche’s men relegated and Ings having only spent one season in the top tier, there are serious doubts as to his suitability for a top four push.
Divock Origi is also set to arrive, but with the Belgian having been named in L’Equipe’s worst team of the Ligue 1 campaign just gone, who knows what to expect from him, while Daniel Sturridge will miss the start of 2015/16 through injury and the likes of Rickie Lambert, Fabio Borini and Mario Balotelli may not even be on Merseyside after poor seasons. Plenty of work to be done then, Brendan Rodgers.
A striker is seemingly still needed, so here are FIVE possible top class options for Liverpool…
[interaction id=“none”]
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
The ‘African Neymar’, Aubameyang has long been lauded for his flashy skills, ferocious pace and ability play across a front three, making him a seemingly ideal fit for Rodgers’ team. Dortmund’s domestic failures last term may open the door for the Gabon ace to leave, and reports have suggested that there’s interest from Anfield.
Aubameyang may not be a lethal finisher, but at 25 he’s entering his prime, while his pure level speed could lend him to the Liverpool boss’ favoured style of transition football.
Jackson Martinez
Arsenal are thought to be closing in on Martinez, but as long as there’s no signature on a contract he’s still available. As such, Liverpool could sneak in, with the Colombian certainly a guaranteed source of goals, which the Reds severely lacked over 2014/15.
Martinez has been a two in three striker for Porto since his 2012 arrival from Chiapas, and although the ‘Portuguese football’ slight can be levelled at his achievements, finding the back of the net with regularity in the Champions League backs up his credentials. At 28 he may be a little on the old side, but big wages heading towards Milner suggests that Liverpool are altering their once strict transfer guidelines.
Carlos Tevez

Now this one would be a shock, but reports suggest that Liverpool are indeed chasing Tevez. The Argentine recently helped his Juventus side to the Champions League Final, but with Paulo Dybala heading to Turin, there’s every chance he may be eased out to usher in a new generation in northern Italy.
Tevez looks to be an ideal fit for Liverpool, with his all-action style not dissimilar to that of Luis Suarez, and we all saw how successful he was at Anfield! The 31-year-old boasts Premier League know-how – titles with both Manchester United and Manchester City – and may be keen on one last big challenge.
Luciano Vietto
Young, unlikely to command vast wages, able to play across the front three and pacey, Vietto seems to tick all of the boxes for Rodgers and Fenway Sports Group. The Villarreal man netted an impressive 12 La Liga goals and a further six in the Europa League last season, making the 21-year-old one of the most sought after stars in Spanish football.
The Reds are said to be keen, and he would be a much better fit in Rodgers’ preferred style of play than Christian Benteke!
Stevan Jovetic
This potential addition would have a bit of a Daniel Sturridge flavour. Although signed from Chelsea, the now Reds man was struggling at a big club, with whom he was often introduced from the bench and often forced to play from wide. Jovetic is currently in a similar situation at the Etihad Stadium, and at 25, he still has time to be ‘saved’.
The Montenegro international is comfortable as a striker or in a more reserved role, which could of use to Rodgers with Raheem Sterling’s situation far from clear.
