Celtic’s disappointing start to the season continued as they could only draw 1-1 with Lithuanian side FK Suduva in the Europa League on Thursday night, and Bhoys fans have urged Brendan Rodgers to make a controversial move for free agent John Terry.
With Dedryck Boyata’s future in doubt, the likes of Jozo Simunovic, Kris Ajer and Jack Hendry have been the regular starters at the heart of the defence for the Scottish Premiership holders, but they have looked particularly shaky – and it was no different for Simunovic and Ajer in Lithuania.
Meanwhile, Terry is available for nothing having left Aston Villa when his one-year deal expired at the end of last season, and a move to Celtic Park may well appeal to the 37-year-old as it would mean that he won’t come up against Chelsea, although it would be contentious for the Parkhead faithful given his infamous reputation.

Celtic supporters, who have had their say after Chris Sutton suggested they re-sign a former 32-year-old star, were quick to have their say on Terry via social media, and while one said “Ajer and Hendry would learn so much off him”, another said “John Terry on a one-year deal”.
