da blaze casino: Tottenham Hotspur would’ve looked a much better side had they had Jack Grealish playing in the white rather than claret and blue, says their former midfielder, Jamie O’Hara.
What’s the word?
da aposte e ganhe: Spurs ran out 3-2 victors in a chaotic game at Villa Park which saw an own goal, a missed penalty and an injury-time winner.
Heung-min Son capitalised on Bjorn Engels’ mistake to pounce and slot home past Pepe Reina in the 94th minute with the north Londoners moving into fifth place.
However, O’Hara believes the victory would have come a lot smoother had they had the Aston Villa skipper on their side.
Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast at talkSPORT on Monday morning, he said:
“I really liked him. He brought everyone into play. Serge Aurier was just bombing on and bombing on, he was non-existent at right back. Toby Alderweireld was having to come out and play 1v1 against Grealish.
“He kept getting in the pocket. He kept skipping past players, making things happen.
“He could have had two or three goals in the first half, set up a couple of chances. He was by far the best player on the pitch in the first half.
“If you looked at the way Tottenham played yesterday [Sunday], if they had Grealish in the team they’d have been really, really comfortable.”

Destined for the top
Grealish is enjoying an impressive season back in the Premier League, so Spurs have to be rueing the decision not to go through with signing him 18 months ago – they have just witnessed first-hand why they should have clinched him.
Daniel Levy wouldn’t budge despite Villa being desperate for £6m, and now he’s being linked to Manchester United this summer for £80m.
The 24-year-old’s stellar top-flight campaign is emphasised by his numbers – he’s contributed towards five more goals than any other Villans player and more than any other English midfielder (seven goals and six assists) while it’s his best year for assists overall, per the BBC.
On Sunday afternoon, Grealish picked up the highest SofaScore rating of anyone on the pitch after five key passes, 100% long ball accuracy and two successful dribbles.
Who is that?! Nobody has been able to name the teams all of these obscure managers were once in charge of…
It seems like it is only a matter of time before the Villa man leaves for a top-six club, but whether that will be Spurs remains to be seen – as O’Hara says, they could’ve done with him at the weekend.
